Dr. Marie-Eve Major’s research focuses on better understanding the various organizational, physical, psychosocial, temporal, and environmental factors related to working and employment conditions. Her work aims to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions that promote work environments conducive to workers’ health and to the efficiency of companies in the biofood sector. Occupational health and organizational practices are central to her research program, examined through multiple lenses, including seasonality, organizational efficiency, rurality, sex/gender, workforce retention and attraction, climate change, occupational health and safety risks, and public policy. Her research is conducted in partnership with workplaces in the biofood sector.
