Expertises

Élise Carbonneau’s research program employs mixed-methods designs to examine approaches, determinants, and interventions that have the potential to enhance food-related agency among individuals in vulnerable situations, with the aim of supporting improvements in dietary habits. It is structured around two research strands studied in different contexts of vulnerability. The first area focuses on the study of determinants and approaches (including positive and mindful eating approaches) associated with dietary habits among adults living in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability. The second area focuses on the evaluation of perinatal social nutrition interventions among pregnant individuals living in situations of economic and migratory precariousness.
