Dr. Vincenzo Di Marzo studies the effects of diet and its components on metabolic health through their actions on the gut microbiome, endocannabinoids, and associated mediators (endocannabinoidomes). He is interested in the biosynthesis and biological and pharmacological effects of lipid mediators derived from the host, the microbiome, or the interaction between the two. He is also interested in the role of lipids in regulating food intake, metabolism, and eating and emotional behaviors.
