Dr. Anne Maltais’s research interests include gas conditioning processes (modified atmosphere packaging), food preservation, and food packaging. More specifically, she works on optimizing packaging based on the characteristics of the food product and extending its shelf life. She also focuses on the design of packaging made from renewable materials.
