Expertises
Dr. David H. St-Pierre’s main research interests focus on the integrative aspects of gastrointestinal peptide physiology across organs and tissues, and on how interventions based on gastrointestinal peptides could optimally improve health in individuals affected by obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and related metabolic dysfunctions. His laboratory focuses on improving the fundamental mechanistic understanding of basic physiology using cutting-edge techniques and methods, before designing novel interventions aimed at modifying disease states.
