As a researcher and nutritionist, Dr. Valérie Marcil’s research interests focus on lipid metabolism, inflammatory and oxidative processes, cardiometabolic diseases, genetics, epigenetics, and the microbiota. Her work also examines the metabolic aspects of complex diseases, the nutritional components of disease processes, and the impact of nutrition on health outcomes. Dr. Marcil’s laboratory primarily investigates the development of cardiometabolic diseases in childhood cancer survivors and the role of metabolism in various complex diseases.
