Expertises
The expertise of Prof. Torkamaneh lies at the intersection of computational biology and cutting-edge omics technologies. His work uses artificial intelligence and big data analytics to interpret complex datasets derived from genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics.
His research focuses in particular on genome editing, especially using CRISPR technologies, as well as metabolic engineering for the production of molecules of interest, including in the context of medical cannabis. He is also interested in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and in understanding mechanisms related to sex chromosomes.
His goal is to develop tools and predictive models to advance biomedical research and biotechnology.
