Expertises

Marilou Côté’s research interests focus primarily on weight-related stigma and its negative consequences for those who are targeted by it, as well as the correlates of weight-related prejudice across different populations. The interconnection between issues related to weight and eating and those related to romantic relationships is also a focus of her research. As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Côté’s research is inspired and informed by her clinical practice.
