Expertises
Dr. Danielle Laurin’s research program aims to identify biomarkers (omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and markers of inflammation and oxidation) associated with the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in older adults by analyzing databases and blood samples from population-based studies, notably the Canadian Health and Aging Study. She is also interested in dietary patterns that may help prevent cognitive decline, based on data from the NuAge study in Quebec and the Trois-Cités study in France.
