This represents a strategic opportunity to transform research and innovation into tangible actions in support of Québec’s food future.

With funding from the Fonds de recherche du Québec, the Biofood Cluster, powered by INAF, will co-organize these symposium sessions with the Institute and CIRANO through various moments of exchange and collaboration.

Policymakers, members of the research community, as well as representatives from industry and civil society will receive an invitation in the coming weeks. They will have the privilege of actively contributing to shaping the food systems of tomorrow.

This event fully reflects the mission of the Biofood Cluster and INAF: to act as catalysts, mobilize strategic levers in research and innovation, and contribute to the sustainable, equitable, and resilient transformation of Québec’s food systems.

Objectives and Expected Outcomes of the Scientific Symposium:

Through keynote talks, presentations of scientific work, insights into international initiatives, and collaborative workshops, this day will:

• Provide an overview of the current state of scientific knowledge on several key issues in the biofood sector;
• Highlight innovative approaches and practices observed both locally and internationally;
• Identify, together with field stakeholders, the main challenges, needs, blind spots, and research priorities;
• Encourage collective reflection on how research can better support action and decision-making.
