Mathieu Parent is a psychologist and holds a Doctorate in Psychology (D. Psy.) from Université Laval. He has been a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ) since August 2022. Throughout his training, he developed expertise in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns. He has worked with adult populations in a university clinic and with adolescents in child psychiatry. His clinical experience has also allowed him to build strong skills in the evaluation and treatment of interpersonal, emotional, sleep‑related, and anxiety‑related difficulties. He uses an integrative approach, with a particular interest in object relations. Depending on his clients’ needs, he may also draw on third‑wave cognitive‑behavioral techniques. As part of his doctoral thesis, he explored the links between Instagram use and body satisfaction among young adult men.
