Expertises
Dr. Pierrette Gaudreau’s research interests lie in the fields of neuroendocrinology of aging, nutrition-aging interactions, and renoprotection. The objectives of her research are to study somatotropic function and the pituitary receptor for growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH); to identify the central and peripheral, molecular and cellular mechanisms contributing to somatopause; to develop nutritional and hormonal intervention strategies that may contribute to healthy aging; and to study the role of a new GHRH receptor in the inner renal medulla.
