Expertises

Dr. Mounier has been working on lipid metabolism for more than 30 years, with a particular interest in hepatic lipogenesis. One of her main research areas focuses on the role of monounsaturated fatty acids, and especially Stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD1), in metabolic health and cancer. She is also interested in the role of medium-chain fatty acids in metabolic syndrome as well as in neurodegenerative diseases.
