Natural Products Canada (NPC) Sets Anchor at INAF

Proud founding partner of the network, INAF welcomes its new regional director in its offices

Yesterday , INAF researchers and professionals had the opportunity to attend a presentation given by Natural Products Canada (NPC), a national centre of excellence for the commercialization of natural products. In addition to introducing the network, CEO Shelly R. King presented the new regional director of NPC–Quebec, Mr. Paul-Thomas Lacroix, whose office has been established at INAF.

NPC is a not-for-profit organization established in 2015 with a vision to make Canada flourish as the Silicon Valley of natural products. Funded by a range of public and private investors, including the Government of Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Commercialization and Research (CECR) program, NPC will align, expand and optimize the pan-Canadian natural products ecosystem to accelerate the development of products and technology platforms that bring real value to real customers.

Newly appointed to the NPC–Quebec administration, Paul-Thomas Lacroix will have the mandate of supporting enterprises and researchers from the province in bringing their products to market faster, cheaper and more efficiently. He will work in close collaboration with INAF to identify promising products, technologies and companies for potential investment, and to ensure they are linked to the national and international resources and partners they need.

INAF is proud to be part of the national NPC network which helps forge connections between research and companies, in addition to showcasing the expertise of our researchers. The establishment of PNC in Quebec is guaranteed to have a positive impact on both the region and the sector.
