The FAST program is a joint initiative of INAF, at Université Laval, and two University of Manitoba research organizations, the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals (RCFFN) and the Canadian Centre for Agri-food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM). It was established in the spring of 2011 with funding from NSERC through the Collaborative Research and Training Experience Program (CREATE).
